Modernizing a Traditional Space

Kristin’s client wanted to bring this living room into the 21st century and she had to decorate with the sectional sofa they had purchased before Kristin’s arrival.

Project Overview:

To modernize this space yet keeping a hint of tradition, we replaced the ornate gold framed art with modern but classic artwork. Toning down the yellow hues in the existing sofa with serene blue tones in the pillows, throws and area rugs and curated accessories brings warmth to the room.

We replaced the ornate gold framed art with more modern streamlined artwork. Kristin selected functional and beautiful tables to accommodate their needs as well as add updated lines and textures to the space. Throw pillows and a blanket add great color to unify the room and tone down the yellow hue in the cream sofa. Splashes of color in accessories placed around the room bring it altogether. The living room is part of an open plan great room and integrates with all the other areas.
