Dining Room Update

We transformed this traditional room into an elegantly refreshed space by replacing the ornate wood elements with transitional, elevated lines of the dark honey and silver leafed buffet chests and upholstered chairs. The concentric circles of the champagne gold mirror are set off by the textured metallic wallpaper highlighting the niche.

Project Overview:

Kristin selected upholstered chairs with dark legs that would coordinate with the dining table. The buffet is actually a pair of chests that offer a slim profile to fit in the niche yet still accommodate the client’s needs for extra storage. The dark wood outer frame of the chests echo the wood in the existing table. The glazed detailing on the doors and beautiful round pulls bring a modern stylistic edge to the piece. The round champagne mirror pairs wonderfully with the glaze on the chests and is set off by the textured, metallic wave pattern on the wallpaper in the niche. This dining room is part of an open plan great room and integrates with all the other areas.
