Youthful Living Room

This living room is long and awkward. It has a fireplace at one end, several windows and access to the sunroom. Our client wanted it to serve as a living room and a space to entertain. Livable furnishings were important because she has a dog and young family members. It was also important to use several of her existing art pieces and for the design to reflect her refined rustic style.

Location: Fort Worth

Project Overview:

This room had several focal points so it was important to define each area. A modern style sofa with chaise in a warm tone performance fabric was used as the main seating for the TV area. This space was defined with a neutral area rug and completed with a rustic bi-level end table, coffee table and TV console. Paula created an additional seating area opposite the fireplace using two gray chairs with contrasting accent pillows. The rustic style was continued with a wood and iron end table. This was the perfect area to display her antique Fort Worth map.

We used the fireplace, as a showcase for art and additional accessories. This helped define the traffic path through the room and leave the walkway open to the sunroom doors. The windows were finished with a white sheer side panel, allowing the beautiful sunlight to pour into the room.
