Transitional Bedroom

Project Overview:

Our client wanted to update her master bedroom and keep some of her traditional furniture.  She also wanted a more comfortable place to read and relax. She loves color and wanted to incorporate these into her project.  She also wanted a window covering that would block the harsh west sun but not completely darken the room.

Interior decorator Paula Esterline selected an updated transitional bed with a diamond pattern on the headboard.  The bedding was the focal point pulling in the colors in a transitional arts and crafts pattern  that she loved. The accent chair and ottoman were the perfect fit for her bedroom and the perfect size to fit her petite frame.  The upholstered bench at the end of the bed serves as seating and to store pillows at night.  Paula selected Roman shades in a semi-opaque fabric so there would be a soft glow during the daylight hours.   She chose a beautiful textured faux silk fabric to frame the windows.

Our client loves to come home to her new master bedroom!
